I'm Lucky Mahlasela, founder of Branch of Righteousness. For more than thirty years I've walked a contemplative Christian journey — one that grew into my own pursuit of a deeper walk with Christ, and now into this ministry.
Beyond the Veil: Entering the Mysteries of God is the written form of that pursuit, and this community exists to walk it out together, one honest week at a time.

Our teaching and discussion follow the arc of this book — from the six foundations, through the witness of the Desert Fathers and medieval mystics, into daily practice, the dark night of purification, and mystical union with God.
It is not a detour from Christ, but a fuller entrance into the reality every believer has already received in Him. Ordinary believers, in ordinary places, pursuing an extraordinary, ordinary walk with Christ.
We test every experience by Scripture, and hold it in love, humility, and obedience — drawing also on the witness of the wider Church across the centuries.

Each month we sit with one theme from the cycle a little longer — a fuller written teaching to read slowly, alongside the weekly reflections.
Before anything else is built, the ground must be cleared. Hebrews places repentance first — not because it is elementary in the sense of small, but because everything else in the Christian life stands or falls on it.
The Desert Fathers understood "dead works" as more than obvious sin. Abba Poemen taught his disciples to examine even their good deeds — was this done for God, or to be seen? Repentance, in their hands, became less a single event at conversion and more a daily return, a continual turning of the face back toward God whenever it had drifted, even slightly, toward self.
This month we sit with that posture: not repentance as crisis management, but as the quiet, repeated work of a heart staying honest before God.
